I just wanted to let you know I do not have Mono the doctor's office just called. They said I tested positive for exposure to Mono sometime in my life but I am currently not a carrier. So that is good news. I read online that 90% of people either get mono or are exposed to it and get antibodies towards the virus by the time they are 40. If you get it when you are younger you hardly show any symptoms. Sophia does not act sick and has not taken a nap since she has been sick. It is so weird! They said she does not have to stay home but to be on the safe side I am keeping her in so she does not get exposed to anything with her immune system down. With the H1N1 Flu going around I am alittle nervous!

Another Update.....

Well we went back to the doctors today for Leigha. Her ear infection is gone and she looks great. While we were there the doctor looked at Sophia and said her throat and eyes look much better, thanks to the steroids she was taking. She said to stop all the other medication she gave her because she DOES have Mono it is not a bacterial infection. She said to let her rest for the next 4-6 weeks. There is nothing we can do for her just keep her away from anyone that is sick. Her resistance is down and we do not want her to get anything else. She is not allowed to run and jump around because her spleen is enlarged and if she falls they are worried it could rupture. I went and got my blood work done to see if maybe I have Mono and gave it to her. I am pretty sure Nana Bell and Anita are going to get their blood work done also. We are all extra tired but we just assumed it was from all these babies. We will see. It will take about a week until I get my results back I will let you all know as soon as I can.

The beginning of Fall......

Well we had a busy weekend. Leigh Ann and Jeremy stopped by on their way from Utah to Maryland. They brought their brand new baby Mason to visit. He was so cute and we were so happy they came our way. My girls were all sick so we tried to hang out but not breath too much on him. So I only got to hold him once =( He is so cute and tiny.
Pete and Teresa brought Madelyn to visit. We were so excited. My girls love to play with Maddie. Shaun and Pete went to the Cleveland Indian's game and they were playing the Baltimore Orioles so that was pretty funny. It was the Grape Jamboree weekend and it rained!!! Shaun and Dr. Wu took Emma to the parade and Pete and Teresa took Maddie up for awhile. Maybe we will get to go next year. This is a group picture of all of us. Josh is not in the picture because he is the one taking it. THANKS JOSH.

Shaun had a friend over for the day. They met at Case. I have no idea how to spell his name but his last name is Wu so this is Shaun and Dr. Wu

Leigha pooped all over and had to get a bath at Nana Bell's house. We borrowed Gavin's towel it was so cute. Sophia took this picture of us.

Uncle Jeremy was letting Leigha play with his cup. She LOVED it and she liked to look at him through the bottom!! So cute.

Sophia Update!

Sophia is feeling so much better. The medicine is working great. I will be REALLY surprised if it is Mono. I heard Mono can not be cured by medicine. We will see for sure on Monday I just thought I would let everyone know how she is doing.

Sophia

The girls have had a cold the last week and a half. I took Leigha to the doctors last Friday and she ended up having a ear infection. She is doing fine. She is on medicine and her cough is getting better. Sophia went Monday for a 3 year old check up and was fine. She had a cold but nothing too bad. The doctor put her on Zythomax (not sure on spelling) just to help with the cold. By Wednesday she was just not right so I took her back and she did a blood test for Mono and a strep test. The Strep test came back negative and they will not know about the Mono test until Monday. But the doctor seems to think that is what it is. (very strange) She said she only could of gotten it from someone spit. She is on a steroid and a medication for that. If the Mono test comes back negative then it is a bacterial infection. hmmmm not sure what to think we really haven't left the house the last couple of weeks. I guess we will stay in for awhile. They said she is not quarentined she just can not drink after anyone or spit on them. (which if you know Sophia is not a easy task!) She still is not feeling great but she is much better than yesterday. She is sleeping right now.............. I will keep everyone updated.
